Elvis and Anabell

'Elvis and Anabelle 2007'

If I was fifteen again and discovered this movie it would be one of the best dark romantic teen films I had ever watched. Its perfect for all the little creepier teens or creepier adults who in films find death exciting and love, romantic tales that are a tad on the odd spectrum.

I have had this film on my play list for a while and didn't think much of it but I watched a bit of the trailer and thought I would give it ago. Blake lively plays a girl who's mother has pushed her into beauty pageants her whole life and once she is awarded winning the national title in Texas pageant she falls stone cold dead on live T.V. Whilst this is going on a funeral home run by young boy. Who's father since losing his wife and being hit over the head by a bottle by some local teens is now disoriented hunchback who is know longer in the right state of mind to work. His son has taken over embalming still running the business without a license and does the job perfectly whilst caring for his adorable father who love each other dearly.

Being the only embalmers for miles and the best they take Annabel in, and the son named Elvis is getting ready to embalm her when he is in ore of her beauty even though she is blue and dead he kisses her awaking her so to speak. Her rising from the death is a national story. The news wants to report on her more than ever and famous television stations get in touch wanting to hear her story. Her mother pushes her even further to the point where Annabel runs away to the funeral home looking for answers on how she awoke from her death.

She stays there for a while and get to know the angst teen Elvis and both begin to fall in love when a big misunderstanding happens jeopardising there relationship but all is well your just have to see for yourself.

I really liked the film is was kind of 'Pushing Daisies' esque and if Terence Malick and Tim Burton has a love child I really loved the film the colours were great and the acting was superb a really sweet tale of life, death and love.
